🧎🏽DOWAGERS HUMP …. READ THIS ONE IF ANY!!!!!!!

Is the back of your neck starting to look like any of the pictures below? Do you spend hours on your phone or on your computer in a head forward, shoulders rounding forward posture? If so, you are part of our electronics society and I see so much of this in my work.
Look around at the young population. Their head and shoulders are already in this position from phones at an early age. Their bodies are still in development. If you see them or yourself stuck in this position with the phone way down at the lower stomach, neck down, and back rounded, remind them to move the phone out in front of the face, straighten the body upward and look straight ahead at the device.
Massage is wonderful for helping to correct this problem by strengthening the surrounding muscles and putting them back into place.

Massage for Sciatica

💥What is Sciatica?
Pain radiating along the sciatic nerve, which runs down one or both legs from the lower back.
It’s usually caused when a herniated disk or bone spur in the spine presses on the nerve.

☀️Benefits of massage for Sciatica ☀️…

💥Relaxes tight muscles which takes pressure off the sciatic nerve root in the lower back. Massage therapy can effectively stretch, loosen, and elongate these muscles, improving pain and function in your lower back and legs.

💥Improves blood circulation by stimulating the blood vessels.

💥Releases endorphins in the area and reduces pain.

💥Reduces stress. Stimulation of the pressure receptors also helps reduce the levels of cortisol in your body—the hormone that causes stress. Reduced stress helps provide a feeling of relaxation and relief, with a lesser perception of pain.

💥Fosters a better healing environment.

💥💥💥💥💥I recommend neuromuscular therapy and deep pressure for sciatic relief.

Reach out with any questions if you have sciatic issues.

Finding your own worth

Have you ever found yourself wanting someone else’s approval for your own wants, hopes, or dreams? I think most of us have been there. Honestly, it took me a long time to realize, who cares what anyone else wants for me, I am aloud to want for myself. When I started feeling this way, life changed. I started to be comfortable in my own skin, I started to attract people who are genuinely nice people, and I started to accept nothing but what I want. That doesn’t mean don’t consider what others need, it means, don’t sacrifice your own happiness to make someone else feel better. You get my drift?

Thought for a Friday.

A journey of healing and new beginnings 🖤

Phase 1 🖤

After years of an unfulfilling career in Healthcare made up of unrealistic deadlines and expectations, back breaking stress, regulation after regulation, and the debilitating COVID, I finally chose me. I pivoted and I walked away. After all, a balance in mental and physical health are necessary for survival and a happy life. It’s not the best feeling to wake up one day and realize you’ve wasted most of your adult life being miserable.

Phase 2 🖤

Tragedy to the worse degree struck me to my knees when my 16 year old son died by suicide. He chose to leave and it changed me in what I believe is forever. In the journey of grief I had to find a way to continue to live through the pain. It’s a process and it’s work I always have to complete, for myself. I created Burt and Company. Burt is the son I lost and Company is everyone he left behind. I started to share my story and be an advocate for suicide awareness. And while this journey isn’t complete, I branched one more time into finding some happiness. Massage chose me. I was meant to touch people with my hands, providing the same comfort to others that has helped me throughout so many months and years of my life.

Phase 3 🖤

Burt and Company Massage was born. After a year of hands-on training, pure love for the modality and a lot of in the present work, I passed the licensing exam to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. Exhilarating, scary, sadness and yearning for my son, happiness for what I achieved and the realization that I arrived. I’ve arrived. Thank you thank you thank you to the universe and to the blond angel who guides me.

Phase 4 🖤

As I finish out my last school semester and wait patiently for my Massage Therapy License to arrive, Burt and Company Massage is unfolding step by step, day by day, and is morphing into a small little piece of the experience. A life experience. Let me introduce you to my table.

Love and Light💡;
