●My Massage Story

Alison Mills Monrean

Born and raised in a small town and exposed to many diversities in life to say the least, I slowly over the years did small things to invest in myself. I developed the love of walking and exercise in my teen years and thought that was enough for my well-being. Boy was I wrong. My career and personal life both pulled me down over the years and through all that I discovered MASSAGE.

“I think I was about 20 years old when I had my first Swedish Massage. Fast forward 25 years and now I am a Massage Therapist.”

People that know me know that when I invest, I invest fully and somehow find my way. I experimented with different therapists over the years and although each was different, there was one commonality. I always felt different after each massage. I started to go once a month and after I did that consistently, I noticed the tension in my mind and body relaxed. The more I went the better it got and the better it got, the better I felt.

What I have learned most is you have to pay attention to your own body. Some months I need neuromuscular therapy because I have some deep-rooted stress and sometimes, I just need some Swedish Massage love to take me away to another place. I find that when I am open and honest with my needs, my therapist gives me just what the doctor ordered. I will continue with my own personal monthly massages as long as I am alive. I think I was about 20 years old when I had my first Swedish Massage. Fast forward 25 years and now I am a Massage Therapist. WOW.
